Hello Friends,
Today, Linda was moved out of ICU and on to the spinal injury floor. She’s still in a lot of pain, but we consider this progress. She also made some physical therapy milestones, as she was able to sit up—on the edge of the bed, with assistance. She needs to strengthen up those core muscles in anticipation of the vigorous PT that awaits her at rehab.
She wants you to know that she appreciates your continued prayers and is determined to work hard to get better!
Love to you all,
Sally Araujo Costa

After my accidental fall resulting in a severe spinal injury on August 1, 2017, doctors felt I wouldn't survive much past the initial 5 hr surgery. They also described the break as a complete injury which would leave me paralyzed, with a tracheotomy, feeding tube.
My motto since day one has been “ you don’t know me!” and I proved that in the past 2 years. Turns out the injury was not a complete injury. With that the hunt began to find PT that had the equipment to help me overcome the injury.
So always keep in mind these things in mind: Courage, Perseverance, Faith, Hope and Love.
